1.If you were Roman Abramovich, would the spending spree at
Chelsea continue until the title is won?
For sure. A lot of people say the premiership can not be bought. I disagree, we nearly won it last season, just happened to be the season when Arsenal were unstoppable. I think within the next three seasons we will win it.
2.Was it sad in a way that a lot of the ‘Old’ Chelsea had to depart from the club, or were they not what the supporters were after?
By old Chelsea do you mean players? Bates? or Ranieri and his staff? Either way, I think the club is heading in the right direction, the club has underachived for quite some time now, only time will tell. I think at present, this is the best position we as a club since our 1955 title.
3.There have been some shocking designs on the playing strips over the years, particularly the away uniforms. What in your mind was the worst ever strip produced by Chelsea?
An away shirt from around 97 it was the grey and orange kit, with the Coors sponsor, that has to be the worst kit ever.
4.Would you like to see Stamford Bridge developed further than what it is now, and if so, how would this be done?
I would love to see this, I am happy with it's current state, though we can not compare it to stadiuns like Old Trafford. Apparently it would be hard to expand, due to the design of Chelsea Village.
5.So many times you have returned to the board after long absences. Do you plan on staying with the board long term or is this just another short term fling?
I think this is probably my third or even fourth spell. I am happy to say, I will be staying.
6.Can you describe your relationship with Tapes (not that we are implying anything of course)?
Well I was in favour of his return, there was a falling out with him and a few members of the board, but thats in the past. Personaly I am not the type to hold a grudge. I can be a very forgiving person. It's nice to have him back.
7.The asterisk in front of the topic seems to be your trademark. Why do you do this and how did this come about?
It's just one of those things, been doing it so long now, I cant even remember why and when. Just one of those strange traditions of mine (like always putting the beer bottle lid in the cupboard, next to the bottle opener.
8.If you went on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, who would you have as your Phone A Friend?
Can I choose my mum? she's very clever. If not, then I would probably have my girlfriend Sammi.
